Details of Salvation Experience: "In the early years of my marriage we received a personal invitation to visit Gunnings Baptist Church in Blountville, TN.  The weeks that followed brought me under great conviction.  I was saved at Gunnings Baptist Church on a Wednesday night in the winter of 1976 under Pastor J. W. Depew.  It was there in 1980 that I announced my call to preach."

Special Schooling or Education: Graduated from Tennessee Temple University, Chattanooga, TN in 1984 with a Bachelor of Religious Education Degree, majoring in Pastoral Studies.

"After graduating from Tennessee Temple in 1984, I served as Children's Church Director at Gunnings Baptist Church for two years.  In 1986 Ms. Debbie and I moved to Charity Baptist Church where I began a youth ministry and served at Youth Director.  In November 1992, upon the resignation of the Senior Pastor, Charity Baptist Church extended a call to me to pastor the church.  I accepted the calling under a unanimous vote by the church and began the full-time position as pastor on May 6, 1992."
